dEMISE oF tHe dARK

It has been 16 years of our relationship-you and me. 16 years of compromising-fighting, debating and then finding that nothing can be done. 16 years are nothing petite – I have known you better each minute, each second, but still- I don’t understand you, neither I care to.

Each moment passes like an year.

It is you who holds my hand all the day and you who envelopes me all long the night-only you. My sight, my feelings, my aura -everything is yours by mandate – every known and unknown.

I won’t lie – I want to flee away from you – so

mewhere really far…but my destiny binds me. Where ever I go, I find you.

No-it isn’t love. It never will be.

h1

They say you are my destiny, thus I have tried to be devoted to you, but never could.

No one can, no one will.

How can anyone, how can I? It’s you who eats my soul all the day and curses my dreams each night…you have taken my everything away from me – even my shadow……

I want to be free-can’t you get this? 16 years of our relationship, and you took away my everything – and I got simply nothing. My each breath struggles to be free; my each drop of blood yearns…

I have spent my nights crying in a nutshell and my days wearing a disguise of life. Why should I carry on? Why?

I didn’t choose you. What right do you have to rule on my life?

No, I am ending this finally- I am ending your unobstructed glory. I know, it will pain a lot, but I don’t care.

Some flashing strokes of light are knocking my door.

li22

Yes, I am getting my colorful world back. I am getting my eyes back! Our 16 years of relation is going to end.

Yes, this is happening…finally, end of your tyranny.

Finally- after 16 years…

Adios darkness, I am engaging with colors…

I can see everything…i can see light!

Your rule ends…happy demise…

I GOT MY EYES BACK!

Raavan and Rapists? No way!

The ignorant speeches of politicians, and then, a “sorry, it was a mistake…but I am correct” news, and Khap’s “colorful” judgments are in full form these days.

Reading the newspaper today, I came across this statement about women…

VijayVargiya, a minister in M.P. stated,

“Agar aurato ne lakshman rekha langhi, to Raavan same hoga….unhe maryada me rehna chahiye…”

(If women cross their limits, then they will be in danger…things will happen. They should remain in their limits…)

After his party found it a threat he “corrected it”

“Aurato ko ,maryada me rehna chahiye, agar ve maryada me rahengi, to samaj me vikriti nahi aa saktii…maryada ka ulanghan hone pe sitaharan hoga, aur Ravan saamne kahada milega…”

(Women should be in their limits, if they remain in their limits, then society will not rot…crossing their limits, they will be kidnapped…they will find Ravans  (ie, here, Rapists) infront of them…)

Is this CORRECTION??? o_O

sss3

Now, Sita! One of the most unfortunate girl/women in our history of Hinduism…

She went with her husband RAMA on Vanvaas (14 years of exile in a forest) and was kidnapped by the demon king “Ravana”(in the absence of her husband Rama and brother in law Laxmana, who made a “rekha” or line across the cottage of theirs, and asked her not to come out) who wanted to marry Sita, but for some sad reasons, wasn’t able to.

So now, then she lived in a garden called “Ashok Vatika” for time being.

Now what comes up? She remained there, and was later rescued by Lord Rama and his Vanar sena(Army of monkeys)  later.

So, our minister sir told our women, that they would find a “Ravana” outside her limits.

So Mr. Minister,

1.     Sita is an ancient lady. Too old a tale to connect to. And no one would take it as an example except Hindus. So…huh!

2.     Now, we don’t have brother-in-laws like Laxman. (even not brothers always)

It would be fine to all girls here, if they found a “Ravana” as such. Ravana didn’t EVEN TOUCH Sita WITHOUT HER CONSENT. In short, he did nothing more than kidnapping, and giving her a comfy treatment.

4.     Yes, by the way all men are following “Rama’s” principal here. Rama asked Sita to go through an “Agni Pariksha”(Standing on a burning pyre to prove her purity) because she had spent time in Ravana’s house. She had to prove her innocence. (HER????)  He took her home only after that.

(Would he have left her if she didn’t prove???)

ss2

5.     After returning to his empire, he sent exiled a pregnant Sita, because someone said, “Our ruler keeps a WOMAN in his house who has spent months in a “GAIR MARAD’S HOUSE” i.e., “unknown man’s home”. Our books say, he did that as a ruler (his duties were higher than his emotions for family). Sorry, but don’t understand how “punishing an innocent” was his “DUTY FOR COUNTRY”.
It just shows what the value of a woman is in our patriarchal society. Worse than a dog.

(I personally would like to live in the house of Ravana than Rama. Atleast I have some respect there, right?)

So, I don’t understand the concept of this speech by Mr. VijayVargiya.

Truth is, our society is dumb.

When we cant/don’t want to do something, we blame the victims, the innocent ones.

“Sir, this girl is bullying me..”
“What a boy are you to get bullied by a girl! Shame!

Go away…”“Inspector, I was jogging in the park, and someone
pushed me down and took my wallet…”
“You know him?”
“No sir…I was not looking…he came from behind...”
“Not paying attention to your surroundings and
complaining…why did you need to jog this early in the
 morning? Huh!”

“Mumma…these boys are always stalking me…”
“Wear more those tight skinny jeans, wear skirts….
what else will happen?...”
“But I was wearing salwaar….”
“Don’t answer me back…why do you go out after
the dusk…”

Etc.

What beautiful society we live in, right? Nobody tells his boys not to disrespect girls? Nobody raises them to help women if they are at trouble, alone? Nobody tells them, they are a part of society, equal?

Nobody tells them women are living beings, not materials?

Nobody, not even mothers normally.

Any Hindus here offended? Sorry…but its my point of view, and many others… you are welcomed to share yours.

But hey! Comparing Rapists, molesters to Ravana? No way….

Crests and troughs

ins5

Crests and troughs;

Do come and go

Sometimes high;

Sometimes low

Sometimes hesitating;

Sometimes sound

Sometimes cornered;

Sometimes round

Sometimes linger;

Sometimes do cease

Sometimes do let

The soul at ease…

They occur like the tides;

High and low

Sometimes just soothe;

Sometimes ruthlessly blow

They occur, did occur

And always will

They never time-out;

Or nor sit still…

They are some openings

Profound for glee

Representing  gearing up

For a fresh new-fangled destiny

So tides may dampen;

But tides don’t kill

Those crests and troughs;

Come and go uphill….

They just masquerade

Into a horrendous disguise

So one doesn’t see

The cloaked thing nice…

One keeps running away

Until it halts

And misses the splendor

Godsend. By one’s own fault…

————————>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Our problems do come with the solutions, don’t they? They even bring amongst them pristine changes, leading to a sunnier land… The only thing is, missing or denying them due to our misconceptions and fears for a it, or the small negative part it contains(on the cover)….isn’t it? Here guys! Happy New Year!!! And by the way, its 100th day of “entangled in paradox” on WordPress today!!! So, cheerssss!!!!!!!!!!!   ————————>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Forgotten

lll

Old, shattered, tattered

Are the remains of my quest

Blinking, shrinking, dropping

My eyes like the rest…

Pale, sulky, tender

My moods in a nest,

Unknown, unspoken, unaddressed

Still remains my quest…

Falling, preaching, still growing

My soul unlike the rest

Cornered, stinging, growling

Still paining is my quest…

Never forgot it, but never perceived

In the crowd of the mist

Time slips, but still it stands

Undone, unleashed, at its best…

Forgotten, in a way is my quest…

 —————————>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We often live a happy, cheerful, fruitful life…growing and learning what each moment has to offer, but still, we forget to do, or as we say, “lack in time” for what we were made and were meant… our own quest, what so ever it may be…

We may be surrounded by thousands of fruitful tasks and  be well distant, but does it not sting somewhere…somewhere, that we left it?

Do we need to find a room for it, or leave it in the best form ever…fresh and never touched?

I know

I know, this moment will also pass

Once again, things won’t be so cross.

The winters won’t last for too long

The springs would soon, sing their song.

I know, these stiff ends won’t be always too gross

These thorns would end into the greenish, bluish moss.

The rough and moisture less air would once be tired,

These useless words and cults would cease from being fired.

I know, once, these rough edges would get aligned

The peace of hearts and soul, we will once again find.

These colors of heartless hatred, they will get dissolved

These labels, these judgments, these diversities, will get enrolled.

I know this moment of weakness, will get unleashed

Once again, the flowers, the blooms will make them pleased.

Once again, someday, one day, we will be one

One earth, one sky, one color, one ocean, one “we” and the sun.

I know….

===================================

I wish the day comes soon, when these diversities wont be “classes” or “creeds” or “’labels”, lower or higher, but just “one”.

One “we”. One world.

Where our birth won’t describe who we are, but as Martin Luther King Jr. said, “not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character”

Thanks for being here friends!

No particular color,

But a tincture of each.

What color does the heartbeat have?

What color does my emotions?

What colors do the light of joy?

What colors do the rules, the notions?

No particular color,

But a tincture of each.

What color do our dreams have?

What color does our life?

What color does the words that calm?

What colors the words of hope and strife?

No particular color,

But a tincture of each.

What color does my smile have?

What colors do my pains?

What color does a child spread?

What color does the rain?

No particular color,

But a tincture of each.

A bit of snow, fields, mountains and ditch,

Some pain, some joy, some hide and seek,

Some lemon, some apple, some orange and peach,

Life is nothing, but a tincture of each.

No particular color,

But a tincture of each.
